On this Memorial Day Weekend it's important to reflect on our men and women in the military. To reflect on their sacrifice and commitment. Thank you for all you have done and all you have pledged to do. The most important thing to reflect on is the reason for such a sacrifice and commitment. Freedom. Real, actual freedom. Not an ability to do what we want, but an ability to choose what we need. As voters and countrymen we must take voting seriously.
Recently there is so much news about this fall election. Today I was listening to Senator Clinton speak of voter rights and how Michigan and Florida should be seated. She referenced to Women's Suffrage and the first Civil Rights bills passed in America. It should be said that those historic actions are Republican victories. It was the Republican Party that first worked toward the end of slavery and civil rights. It was the Republican Party that first worked toward Women's right to vote. You will not hear that from the very individuals who remind us of such historic legislation. It's time we started looking at facts and truth, not media hyped propaganda.
